During an inspection looking at part of the service
People also told us they could choose when they went out, times for rising and retiring to bed. Some comments included, 'I decide when I go out and when I go to bed', 'Sometimes I get up too early and the staff talk to me about this.'
People who used the service told us they were happy with the level of care and support they received.
We spoke with a relative who told us the home was, 'Very good, I am happy with the care', 'It is always clean and the food is lovely', 'The staff always make me feel welcome and I have my lunch too' and 'I have no complaints, but if I did I would go to the manager.'
People who used the service told us, 'I feel safe here' and 'The staff take good care of us.'
People who used the service told us that staff were approachable, kind and supportive.
We spoke with a relative and they told us staff made them welcome, passed on information and liaised with them on a regular basis, 'It's very good and I am happy with the care provided' and 'The staff make me feel really welcome.'
People told us their views and concerns were listened to and that a residents meeting had taken place which they were able to discuss any issues. Some people also said they had been involved in developing their new care plan.
Some people using the service said they had been involved in developing their new person centred plan and commented, 'Yes I have done this with my key worker and I enjoyed doing it.'
