We carried out this on-site announced assessment on 22 August 2024. We found the practice had met regulations. The practice had systems to manage risks. Recruitment procedures reflected current legislation. Infection control procedures followed published guidance. Patients’ care and treatment was provided in line with current guidance. Patients were treated with dignity and respect. At the time of our assessment, patients could access care, support and treatment when required. There was effective leadership and a culture of continuous improvement. The provider has 3 practices and this report is about Richmond Orthodontics - Berkeley House. The practice is in the London Borough of Richmond upon Thames and provides NHS and private orthodontic dental care and treatment for adults and children. At the time of our assessment, the dental team included 3 specialist orthodontists, 3 dentists, 6 qualified dental nurses, 1 trainee dental nurse, 6 orthodontic therapists, 2 treatment coordinators, 3 practice managers and 6 receptionists. The practice had 7 dental chairs. During the assessment we spoke with 2 dentists, 2 dental nurses, 2 orthodontic therapists, 1 receptionist and 1 practice manager.
