Our view of the service
Date of assessment 5 July to 28 August 2024. This included a visit to the service by an inspector on 10 July and a meeting with the provider, head of quality and business and the registered manager on 20 August. Oaktree Lodge Residential Home is a care home providing accommodation and personal care for up to 34 people. At the time of our inspection there were 28 people living at the service. The service provides support to older people with a range of health and social care needs, including some people who were living with dementia. For this assessment, we looked at all the quality statements in the safe and well led key questions. At the last inspection, the service was rated requires improvement in these key questions and overall. In this assessment, we found the service has improved in both key questions and the overall rating has changed to Good.
People's experience of this service
Throughout the assessment, we received positive comments and written feedback from people who lived at the service, relatives and staff. Comments included, “I would highly recommend Oaktree Lodge for anyone seeking a loving and nurturing environment for their loved ones”, “My relative is always treated with the utmost respect and kindness, and it's clear that her well-being is their top priority. Staff are very welcoming and friendly”, “Staff make every effort to keep the residents happy and well and are really patient and caring. I am happy to have found such a nice place for them.”
