During a routine inspection
A person said, 'They support me with my care, very much so; my plan of care is discussed with me.' Another person told us, 'The care is very convenient. I feel very comfortable and warm.' A relative told us, 'They do their best. I have never seen a member of staff ignoring people or doing anything they shouldn't be which to me is good.' Another relative said, 'My relative falls but this has been addressed and she is getting as much care and attention as she could. I am quite happy with her care.'
People we spoke with said they felt safe in the service. A relative told us,' She is safe here. I have never witnessed any abuse and I feel quite comfortable.'
People's comments about staff included; 'They have been all right with me,' 'Staff are nice and helpful,' and 'They are all so kind and friendly and nothing is too much trouble.' Relatives told us; 'You can't fault the staff at all; there have been quite a few changes; I get on all right with the staff,' and 'The staff are very kind and very caring.'
Meetings for residents and families to meet with the managers of the service were held at least quarterly. People received surveys. The results of surveys sent out in 2012 were displayed. One relative told us, 'I complete surveys and the manager does listen.'
