During a routine inspection
We visited the local office and had the opportunity to speak with the manager. She told us that this year they are reducing their offices to three so the Mid Surrey branch in Leatherhead will move by the end of March 2013. We were told that the manager was in the process of applying to become the registered manager of the three branches. Staff will be retained and all supervision for them will take place locally. The manager told us there should be no changes for people using the service as their regular staff carer would remain the same.
Staff confirmed with us that care plans were in the home and contained enough information to enable them to provide support for the people who use the service.
We looked at training records and staff confirmed that Crossroads provided regular training. We spoke to family members following the inspection who all felt the staff must have received training as they supported their family member well.
