During a routine inspection
Some people receiving support said that they had lived at the home for many years and were very settled there. Two people said they were 'very happy' living in the home, and one said that staff 'look after us well.'
We saw that people were assisted in carrying out activities and were able to follow their preferred lifestyles. Support was given with daily living skills such as personal hygiene care, laundry management, finances, food preparation and medication.
We saw that the premises were visibly clean, and people were supported in keeping their own rooms and communal areas clean and tidy.
We visited the company's head office and inspected staff recruitment files, and complaints management.
We spoke to one person's relative and three health professionals who were involved in people's care. They all spoke very positively about the service with comments such as 'I cannot fault the care that X has been given.' 'Staff have frequently gone over and above 'the call of duty' to support X to provide a nurturing and caring environment'; and 'The office staff are all very helpful and approachable.'
