During a routine inspection
We visited the house and met one of the people receiving support and talked with two staff and the General Manager. One of the people receiving support said he 'liked living there' and said that he was happy for us to see his support planning documents and daily reports.
We visited the company's head office and looked at some staff recruitment files, and complaints records.
We found that people were being supported in managing activities of daily living such as hygiene care, finances, food shopping and preparation, upkeep of the premises to maintain their cleanliness, medication and raising concerns.
We saw that the premises were visibly clean and that staff supported people with daily and weekly cleaning programmes.
We found that medication was stored and managed appropriately with staff support.
We saw that people were supported in raising any concerns, and these were taken seriously and dealt with promptly and appropriately.
We talked with three health professionals who were indirectly involved with the service, and they spoke positively about the support given to people who were placed in this service.
