During a routine inspection
In recent patient feedback the majority of people rated their experience of the service and the quality of their follow-up positively. In written comments people said that it was a "fantastic service" and described it as "outstanding and superb". Staff had been trained in what to do in a medical emergency and there was emergency equipment and drugs available at the clinic.
Staff had been trained in child protection and safeguarding vulnerable adults. They knew how to spot signs of possible abuse and how to report any concerns they had, including to other healthcare professionals and social services.
All staff at the clinic received annual or six-monthly appraisals, and undertook relevant mandatory training.
People using the service were asked to provide feedback using questionnaires, and were also able to submit any comments or complaints. These were reviewed by staff and changes were made accordingly. Staff at the clinic also regularly reviewed the quality of care they provided to patients.
