Condition of this registration relating to carrying out this regulated activity
Within 28 days of this condition taking effect, the Registered Provider must implement effective auditing and monitoring systems to ensure that:
a. Referrals are made to relevant qualified health professionals in a timely manner as service users’ needs change to ensure they are receiving treatment that meets their current needs, is in their best interests and which promotes their independence.
b. Where best interest’s decisions are made on behalf of a service user these are clearly documented and decisions are taken using the least restrictive option.
c. Personal emergency evacuation plans (PEEPS) reflect service users’ current needs and staff must be trained and know how to evacuate people safely in an emergency.
d. Call bells are easily accessible to service users when in their bedrooms and where service users are unable to use call bells, hourly checks are clearly recorded.
e. You have an effective audit in place to identify where infection control procedures are not effective; including but not limited to ensuring there is sufficient PPE available for staff to use on each floor and yellow bags to dispose of PPE safely.
f. You have an effective system in place to ensure each service user has a PRN medication (as required) protocol in place where PRN medication is being administered.
The Registered Provider must within 28 days after the above condition takes effect, provide to the Care Quality Commission an action plan outlining the progress made in relation to the auditing, monitoring and quality assurance systems in place. After submission of the first action plan/written report, the Registered Provider must send a monthly report on the first Monday of the month to the Care Quality Commission. The report should contain the findings of the audits, monitoring and quality assurance systems, details of the timescales for improvements and who will be responsible for them.
Terms of this registration relating to carrying out this regulated activity
The Registered Provider must not provide nursing care under accommodation for persons who require nursing or personal care at Bloomsbury House.
The Registered Provider must only accommodate a maximum of 24 service users at Bloomsbury House.
