We saw that staff treated people with respect and encouraged them to make choices and express their views. It was evident that staff knew people well and were caring in the way they supported people.
We looked at the care records of four people who used the service. They detailed the individual needs of the person and contained risk assessments to minimise any risks present during day-to-day activities.
We saw that staff received appropriate training which was specific to the needs of people who used the service. Measures were in place to assess the standard of care provided.
The environment at Drummonds was homely and people's bedrooms were decorated according to their individual wishes and preferences.
