During a routine inspection
We found support plans and risk assessments in place for two people who had been using the service for a period of time. However, staff told us that they needed more information to support new people joining the service right from the start of their admission.
We found evidence challenging behaviour was not adequately managed and that, at times, this had a negative impact on people using the service.
We found evidence that procedures for the safe handling of medicines, including administration, recording and monitoring were not being followed in practice.
All of the staff we spoke with told us they had regular supervision that was helpful. A staff member told us that supervision helped them to identify ways to improve their performance and the quality of care they provided. Other staff told us that they received praise for their work, and that they could work as a team with other staff members. This meant that staff were being properly supported to provide care and treatment to people who use services.
