Condition of this registration relating to carrying out this regulated activity
1. Within seven days after the date on which this condition comes into effect and on the first Monday of each calendar month thereafter, the registered provider must send to the Commission a written summary of action taken at The Leylands- Residential Care Home to ensure that:
a. All service users’ care records contain accurate and up to date information which reflects their needs and preferences and enables staff to meet these.
b. All risks to service users’ are identified and explored within risk assessments which give guidance to staff to meet service user’s needs and mitigate risk.
c. Staff have sufficient training and experience to support service user’s specific healthcare and behavioural needs, prior to them being admitted to The Leylands- Residential Care Home.
d. All accidents and incidents are reviewed, and actions are taken, where required to mitigate future risk in a timely way.
e. Staff are trained and competent in identifying potential safeguarding concerns and that safeguarding concerns are referred to the local authority safeguarding team in line with their policy.
f. All service users have decision specific capacity assessments and best interests decisions in place where these are required.
g. The provider and staff have sufficient understanding of government COVID-19 guidance in relation to care homes and are consistently complying with this.
h. All quality assurance tools are effective at identifying where improvements are required and a competent and appropriately skilled person is in place to action and embed improvements.
Terms of this registration relating to carrying out this regulated activity
The Registered Provider must only accommodate a maximum of 21 service users at The Leylands - Residential Care Home.
The Registered Provider must not provide nursing care under accommodation for persons who require nursing or personal care at The Leylands - Residential Care Home.
