During a routine inspection
People's comments indicated they received the care and support they needed and were happy with how staff supported them. We saw they were involved in a variety of social activities in the community and carried out day to day living skills, such as cleaning their rooms and food shopping.
People received a well balanced diet and were involved in choosing what they ate. They told us they enjoyed the food available and confirmed they had helped to choose what meals were included on the menu.
The premises were generally in a good condition and were clean and fresh throughout. The people we spoke with said they were happy with their rooms and the home's general facilities.
Checks had been carried out on staff before they started to work at the home to make sure they were suitable to work with vulnerable people. This included ensuring they underwent a Criminal Records Bureau (CRB) check.
We saw the complaints procedure was available to people who used and visited the service. People told us they had no complaints but felt comfortable taking any concerns to staff. One person commented. 'I love living here, the staff are so kind.'
