During an inspection in response to concerns
We spoke with three people who live at the service. They all told us they felt the care provided at the home was very good and that they felt safe with the staff. They all told us the staff were very kind and we observed that this was the case. The staff we saw were patient, caring and reassuring. The people we spoke with told us the staff were very respectful of their dignity and also their privacy and our observations supported these comments.
People told us they were in good health. They told us the staff asked the Doctor or nurse to visit if they were unwell and they said the owners would take them out to see the Doctor if they preferred this. They told us the owners had employed a new activity organiser and they were full of praise for her, saying she was kind and caring and did many interesting activities with them.
All of the people we spoke with said the owners chatted to them and they said they felt complaints would be taken seriously and dealt with. One person told us there was a complaints/suggestions box in reception and said they could use that if they chose. The people we spoke with could not think of any improvements which would make the home better.
