Some of the people living at Little Paddocks were not able to communicate with us verbally. They shared their views through gestures, facial expressions and body language wherever possible. We saw people were engaged in a range of activities, relaxed and comfortable with staff and other people using the service.
People told us they enjoyed their leisure activities such as football and pottery.
Someone told us, 'I'm happy here. It's my birthday and I'm going home. [My relative's] picking me up.' They also said 'I went to the library.'
People told us they liked cooking and making their own sandwiches for lunch.
One person told us staff, 'treat us well.'
One person told us that they liked managing their own medication.
People living in the home told us they would talk to staff if they were not happy with something.
