During a routine inspection
We saw that staff were respectful, considerate and patient towards service users, explained what they were doing and why, and did not rush or pressure people for a quick reply, when offering choices, such as at lunch time.
We spoke to a group of three service users on the ground floor who told us that they were very happy with the help they got and that staff were always polite and kind. One of the group told us how his health problems had improved and another told us that; 'If I had to give it (the home) a percentage, I would give it 100%.'
The relatives we spoke to were all generally happy with the care provided at the home, with one person saying; 'I wouldn't want her anywhere else' and another describing staff as 'genuinely caring'.
The staff we spoke to said that they felt well supported by the manager and senior staff, that good training was provided, they were happy in their work and that 'we work as a team, which benefits residents.'
