During a routine inspection
We found that people who use the service and their relatives understood the care and treatment choices available to them. People who use the service were given appropriate information and support regarding their care or treatment. People's diversity, values and human rights were respected.
We found that care and treatment was planned and delivered in a way that ensured people's safety and welfare. People's needs were assessed and care and treatment was planned and delivered in line with their individual care plan.
We found that people who use the service were protected from the risk of abuse. All the people and relatives we spoke with said they had no concerns about abuse in the home. A comment from a relative included 'It's a safe environment. I have no concerns about abuse.'
We found that staff received appropriate professional development. People who used the service and their relatives were positive about the staff and their skills in providing care.
We asked people using the service and their relatives if they knew how to make a complaint. Some comments from relatives included 'If I have any concerns they are very approachable.' We found that people were given support by the provider to make a comment or complaint where they needed assistance.
