During a routine inspection
People told us that they were helped as they wanted to be and we found that the service had systems in place to check with people about their views of the support they needed. People were positive about the help they received from staff and one person told us 'there are enough staff to help me'. The relatives told us they thought that people received the help they needed and provided examples of support provided to people.
Systems were in place to induct and support staff individually and in groups. Ongoing training was provided to help staff meet people's general and specific needs and they worked to achieve adult social care qualifications. Safeguarding vulnerable adults was included in the training staff received. This had informed them of safeguarding policies and procedures which they followed.
The service used several audits to monitor the quality of the service provided. These fed into the ongoing improvement plan which was also regularly monitored to ensure that progress was made.
