Condition of this registration relating to carrying out this regulated activity
1) Within 30 days of this condition taking effect, a review and evaluation of the quality assurance systems at Grove Park must be undertaken to determine the effectiveness and ensure the process is fit for purpose to identify shortfalls impacting on the safety of people. Staff conducting the quality assurance processes at Grove Park have the skills and experience to identify shortfalls and act on any improvements required. As part of the review and evaluation, consideration must be made to the following.
a) The Registered Provider must send to the commission within seven days of the review being undertaken, a report of their findings in respect of the analysis and evaluation of the findings. The report must include the results of audits undertaken in relation to the oversight and implementation of mental capacity assessments, safeguarding and incident processes, medication systems, staff training and competence.
b) The Registered Provider carry out a review of the admission process to ensure that only people whose needs can be met safely will be admitted.
c) The registered provider must provide CQC within written confirmation by that a system to ensure effective and regular staff supervision appraisals takes place and that staff understand and have access to speak up processes.
2) Within 30 days of this condition taking effect and on the last day of every calendar month thereafter, the Registered Provider must send to the Commission an analysis of their monthly quality assurance process and include the actions being undertaken to address any shortfalls along with timescales.
The Registered Provider must send to the Commission information and evidence of how they are ensuring that any shortfalls identified through the quality assurances processes audits are monitored to identify themes and trends. They must include information and evidence of how these themes and trends are being escalated to ensure learning and improvements are made.
Terms of this registration relating to carrying out this regulated activity
The registered provider must only accommodate a maximum of 80 service users at Grove Park.
