The provider ensured people were involved in their care planning and regular reviews; maintaining independence as a long term option for people with a range of needs was a key aim of the service, and they delivered it well.

Independence, choice and control
The provider ensured people had choice and control of their care planning. They explored a range of options to work flexibly to meet people’s needs. Staff were respectful of people’s protected characteristics and helped them live the lives they wanted. Care was person-centred and staff had the time to understand people. One person said, “It’s the best of both worlds. I get to stay in my home and still be a bit independent.” One relative said, “The number one aim of all this is to keep [person] where she wants to be, at home. Sphere have helped us achieve that.”
