During an inspection in response to concerns

We spoke with two people living at one of the schemes where support is provided by the agency and also spoke with two relatives. The people living there said that all the staff working for the agency were very nice, and understood their needs well. People who use the service were aware of their plan of care and said they had been consulted. They described how they were able to remain independent and receive support and encouragement from staff to engage in a range of activities.

The relatives gave very good examples of how the agency assess and monitor their family member's needs and take steps to maintain their independence. They said the agency always keep them informed about anything affecting the well-being and safety of their relatives. Relatives said they are consulted about the plan of care and asked to participate in reviews; commenting that the people using the service are kept safe, whilst being able to take reasonable risks.

One relative told us about concerns they had about the support provided and were advised that this was being addressed by the agency who were investigating this.
