Condition of this registration relating to carrying out this regulated activity
The registered provider must not admit any new service users to Sterling House without the prior written agreement of the Care Quality Commission (CQC). This includes any respite or emergency admissions of service users, any readmissions of previous service users, or where service users return to the location following admission to hospital.
The registered provider must ensure that all risks relating to the environment, the fire safety, water safety, security of the premises, pressure care, nutrition, dementia, infection control, continence management, have been risk assessed for service users at Sterling House within 5 working days of this notice. You must demonstrate what processes you have implemented to manage and
monitor this risk on a daily basis. You must supply evidence of this to CQC by 11 am on 19 May 2023.
The registered provider must ensure they have reviewed the training needs and competency of all staff, including agency within 5 working days. You must demonstrate what actions you have taken to ensure staff have the correct skills and competency required to meet the needs of service users. You must
supply evidence of this to CQC by 11am on 19 May 2023.
The registered provider must ensure they have reviewed medicines management within the service, including, administration recording, staff training, and competency needs within 5 working days. You must supply evidence of this to CQC by 11am on 19 May 2023.
The registered provider must ensure they have reviewed the use of CCTV including consultation and consent with service users living in the service by 19 May 2023. You must supply evidence of this to CQC by 11am on 19 May 2023.
The registered provider must ensure they have carried out an assessment of service users’ individual needs and the suitability of the service in meeting these within 5 working days. You must demonstrate what actions you have taken to ensure service users’ needs can be met. You must supply evidence
of this to CQC by 11 am on 19 May 2023.
The registered provider must by 11 am on 19 May 2023 develop and implement an action plan that details the action taken to address the conditions imposed above. The action plan must be submitted to the Care Quality Commission for review by 19 May 2023 and thereafter on the first Monday of each month
Terms of this registration relating to carrying out this regulated activity
The registered provider must not provide accommodation for persons who require nursing or personal care in a specialist service to people whose presenting need for care or support is as a direct result of the person’s learning disability and or autism at or from Sterling House .
The registered provider must not provide nursing care under accommodation for persons who require nursing or personal care at Sterling House.
The registered provider must only accommodate a maximum of 17 service users at Sterling House.
