During a routine inspection
People told us they were happy living at Albemarle Mews and enjoyed being with staff. They said, "I make my own decisions," "The staff want me to do things for myself," "I like living here" and "The staff are nice." They also said, "We do training skills" and "We are asked if everything is okay."
We found that people were consulted about their care and involved in daily decisions. We found the home to be clean and hygienic with infection control risks managed and reduced by appropriate systems being followed. We found that staff were employed in suitable numbers to meet the needs of people and that they were appropriately trained and skilled.
We found there was an effective system in operation to assess and monitor the quality of the service provided, which alerted the company senior managers to any shortfall in performance delivery. We found that people were satisfied with the level of care and support they received and lead fulfilling lives.
