During a routine inspection
We spoke with a person in the privacy of his bedroom. When asked about staff, he said, 'They come into my bedroom to see if I'm alright'. When asked about the standard of care he said, 'I've had this bad leg for many years and they are getting it better'. He also told us, 'I like it here, it's the best home I've ever lived in'.
A comment we received was, 'The food is marvellous'.
During the visit we interviewed a nurse who was employed on a full time basis. We enquired about staff supervisions. She told us that nurses supervised care workers informally on a day to day basis. Also, regular formal supervisions were being carried out by the registered manager. The nurse said about the registered manager, 'She's a good manager'.
