During a routine inspection
We looked at three care plans during our visit. These were person centred and reviewed regularly. We saw evidence that other professionals had contributed to these.
We saw evidence that people were provided with a choice of suitable and nutritious food and drink. One person told us, "I like the food".
Effective systems were in place to reduce the risk and spread of infection. We saw that the environment was clean and hygienic and that staff used appropriate infection control measures, including use of personal protective equipment such as aprons and gloves. Risk to service users was assessed and risk management procedures were in place.
Medicines were stored, managed, recorded and administered appropriately. Staff received training in medication procedures.
Staff received appropriate professional development. Staff told us that they received a range of mandatory training courses and we saw certificates for these. Regular supervisions, appraisals and team meetings took place.
