Inter-County Nursing and Care Services supply care workers to approximately 40-45 individual people in their own homes. The service provides help and support to meet people's individual needs. At this inspection we spoke with the operational director, the manager, five members of staff, four people who use the service of Inter-county Nursing and Care Services and one of their relatives.
We visited four people in their own homes and talked to them about the care they received from Inter-county Nursing and Care Services.
One person we spoke with told us 'the girls are lovely, always friendly and very caring'. Another person told us ' I'm relaxed with all the staff and I can talk to them about anything, they always treat me with respect'.
We found that care plans accurately reflected people's needs and had been drawn up with their involvement.
People were supported by staff who had received the correct training to deliver personal care safely and to an appropriate standard.
People told us their visits were conducted on time and they never felt rushed. They told us the care workers took the time to make sure they were comfortable and had everything they needed before they left.
Staff we spoke with told us they felt well supported by the management team and stated the training they received was very thorough and updated when required.
