One person said, "It's lovely here, everyone is so friendly and we all get on, there is never any nastiness and we all have a good laugh." Another person told us how good the food was. They said, "I always enjoy my meals, it is very rare for me not to eat everything, it's so good."

We found that the provider co-operated well with other health and social care providers to ensure that people who used the service received the best care and support available.

We looked at a range of records which showed that appropriate staff were employed, that medication was safely stored and administered and that all equipment in use was maintained properly and in accordance with manufacturer's guidance.

Two people told us about the choice of breakfasts available and that they were able to have a cooked breakfast whenever they wanted and another person told us that they "Always had a choice of main course and desert."

We observed staff as they carried out their day to day duties. They knew the people they supported well, and knew of their preferred name. They spoke appropriately to to people at all times.

People we spoke with told us that had a choice of things to do which included games, quizzes and entertainment. One person told us they "Liked to go for a walk before breakfast." They told us that the staff "Waited until I have been out before getting my breakfast."

We saw that people's rooms were personalised and we were told that families were welcome to join in with activities and events. People told us that they felt safe.
