During a routine inspection
It was evident that staff knew people well and we saw that there were friendly and caring interactions between members of staff and people living in the home. We saw that staff listened to people and treated them with respect.
People received care and support that met their needs and took into account their individual preferences. Staff were able to demonstrate that they understood the specific needs of the people using the service and provided care in a person-centred manner.
We found that staff received the training and support they needed to provide care and support safely.
Relatives who completed surveys as part of the provider's quality monitoring process all expressed satisfaction with the service and were complimentary about the standard of care. One person said: 'I continue to be extremely grateful for the wonderful, loving care given to my [relative].' Relatives who completed surveys also made positive comments about the atmosphere in the home. One said: 'We have always been welcomed warmly.'
