During a routine inspection
We saw that people looked cared for. They were clean and comfortable they told us they felt supported. One person said, 'We still get cared for, but we do more for ourselves now. It's good we are encouraged to make a cuppa when we want one and the staff are trying to make us independent." Another person said, 'I never thought that when I came to Cherry Garth I would be given the opportunity to have my own place again, I am really excited about it.'
We saw there was a choice of well-cooked and nutritious food. People's weights were monitored and staff took action promptly if they thought people were risk of dehydration or malnutrition. People told us the food was lovely. One person said, 'We get a really good choice; and everything is tasty.'
We saw that people's medication was administered properly and safely managed.
Audits were carried out to make sure people received a good service, that was responsive to people's views.
