During a routine inspection

We used a number of different methods to help us understand the experiences of people who used the service, because they had complex needs which meant they were not able to tell us their experiences. We relied on our observations and discussions with staff to understand the experience of care for the people living in Cranwell Grove. We were introduced to three people who lived at Cranwell Grove. We spoke with the registered manager and two support workers about how they assisted people who used the service.

We spoke to the relative of one person, who used the service. They had positive views of the care and support their relative experienced at Cranwell Grove.

People who used the service were supported to live an active and fulfilling life at Cranwell Grove and also in the community.

Care plans and assessment records were informative. This meant staff had the information required to ensure people received effective support in the home and the community.
