During a routine inspection
People were also positive about the staff who looked after them. People made comments such as "staff are very pleasant and helpful" and "staff are very good, all of them are respectful and helpful, as far as the staff goes they are excellent"
Most people we spoke with also made positive comments about the quality of thefood at the home and the choices available. For example, one person told us "the food is great the kitchen are quite good because if you tell them you want something different they do it for you"
People said they would either speak to a member of staff or the manager if they did have a concern or a complaint.
We also talked with some relatives who were visiting the home. They all spoke highly about Grosvenor House. Some relatives told us that they visit the home on a daily basis. One relative said "they take good care of my relative. They make me feel welcome when I visit"
Another relative told us when they were initially making enquiries about the home for their relative found that "the home was very open and extremely informative" They also said "The family can come and go at anytime and we are always made to feel welcome. On the whole the home is very good indeed. The staff here works as a team and I have never seen any instances which would give me cause for concern"
We asked Local Authority staff about the home and they told us they had no concerns about this service.
