Our view of the service
Clarendon Care Home provides accommodation and care for up to 20 older people some of whom were living with dementia. We reviewed all quality statements and found the service was no longer in breach of regulations. We looked at the overall quality of the service and provided a rating for the service under the Health and Social Care Act 2008. We carried out an assessment of the service including a site visit on 12 December 2023 which was completed by two inspectors and an Expert by Experience. An Expert by Experience is a person who has personal experience of using or caring for someone who uses this type of care service. We spoke with 10 people and 4 visitors, staff including care, housekeeping and catering and the two providers. Following the site visit we reviewed a wide range of documents relating to the running of the service and received feedback from 4 health or social care professionals.
