During a routine inspection
People told us they felt safe living at Mundy house. One person with whom we spoke said "You could raise any concerns, you could tell the girls, you feel safe". People also felt able to express their views and had opportunity to do so. One person said 'You could tell them if you did not like something, they would take notice'. A relative with whom we spoke said "The manager is very good and listens to what you say and fixes things".
People using the service told us that the premises suited their needs, it was kept clean and that it had been much improved in the past year.
People with whom we spoke found there were enough staff to meet their needs and that staff had opportunity to spend time with them. One person said 'I can do things for myself, but if I need help I have a bell and staff always come if you ring.' Another person said "Staff are very nice and they stop and have a chat.'
People living at Mundy House told us they were supported by regular and familiar staff which provides consistency of care. A person with whom we spoke said 'We mostly have the same staff and there are not too many new ones. Staff do know what to do for me.' A relative spoken with told us that there was good morale in the staff team.
