During an inspection looking at part of the service
People told us that there were plenty of staff and that they were very kind, caring and attentive. People also told us they liked the food as it was varied, tasty and there was plenty of it. They also told us that there was enough to do. Some people said they liked to stay in their room. Others, told us that they liked to go down to the main hall and 'chat' or take part in whatever activities were on offer. People told us that they had regular access to medical services if they needed them. A doctor visited the home at least weekly.
People told us that when they had a special occasion such as a wedding anniversary or birthday, the home provided the venue and food for them to have a celebration.
We spoke to people who were visiting the home and they told us that they were always made to feel welcome. They said no matter how many relatives 'turned up', tea and biscuits were provided without them having to ask.
