During a routine inspection
People we asked said they were being cared for. Relatives expressed their satisfaction with the care being provided and the positive attitude of the staff. One person confirmed they got up and went to bed when they wanted to. Another person said of the staff 'they are very good'. Comments from relatives included, 'I'm very happy with the atmosphere and feeling here', 'the kindness is absolutely amazing' and 'I can't fault the care (my relative) gets here'.
People and relatives confirmed the food provision was good and choices were available. Information regarding people's likes and dislikes was available and people were provided with meals that met their individual needs and preferences.
Systems were in place for the upkeep of the building and the maintenance of equipment in use and servicing had been carried out at the required intervals. People and relatives confirmed the home was being staffed appropriately to meet people's needs and staff understood how to meet the needs of each person. Other comments received from relatives included, 'they look after (my relative) well' and 'the staff cope brilliantly.'
