During a routine inspection
A relief manager has been running the home since April 2011 following the resignation of the previous manager. We were told a new manager has been appointed and was due to commence in post the week after our visit.
The people we spoke with told us they were satisfied with the care and support they receive. Their comments included,
I'm very, very happy here, hey are very friendly.'
'I can't think of anything they could do better.'
We observed people moving freely around the home making use of the communal areas as well as their own rooms.
We observed that staff treated people with respect and maintained their dignity; for example, personal care was provided in private and people were spoken to respectfully and addressed by their preferred names.
