During a routine inspection
People told us that they felt their, or their relatives, needs were met by the staff and that they responded flexibly when a person's needs changed. This was reflected in the care records which showed people's needs and the risks associated with providing care were assessed. A good level of information was provided to staff so they could safely meet people's needs.
Medicines were administered by staff in line with the prescriber's instructions. However, people were not protected against the risks associated with medicines because there was no care plan or risk assessment to support this activity and ensure it was carried out safely.
The people we spoke with all spoke favourably about the staff that supported them or their relative. We found there were sufficient trained and experienced staff to meet the needs of the people receiving a service from this agency.
