During a routine inspection

People were given all the information they needed to make an informed decision about their care and were asked to provide their consent to such care. We saw people were cared for effectively and care was planned for the individual.

We saw the home provided people with suitable food and hydration to meet their needs and had systems in place to identify risk. We saw there was sufficient staff on duty to provide care and support.

The provider had an effective system in place to record and monitor complaints. Complaints were taken seriously and responded to appropriately.

We saw the environment was not always suitably designed or maintained.

People who used the service were very positive about the care and support provided. Comments included 'It's lovely here' and 'I like my room and the staff look after me very well'.

During a routine inspection

We performed a scheduled inspection of the care home. We saw that people were cared for effectively and that the care was planned for the individual. We saw that people were safe and that there were sufficient suitably qualified and experienced staff on duty. We saw that the home had effective systems in place to monitor its own performance

The people who used the service we met during the visit were very positive about the home and the care provided. Comments included: 'The staff really look after you' and 'I like it, it's good'.
