People who use the service have complex needs which means they were not able to directly tell us about their experiences. Therefore we gathered evidence by observing care; reviewing records, and speaking to care workers.Staff were able to communicate with people using verbal prompts and signs. They also helped us to speak with some of the people who were at home on the day we visited. We saw that the information on how people prefer to communicate is recorded in their care plan.
One person told us they like living at Beaufort View and that staff helped them to attend local pottery, art and craft classes.
We observed people being supported with various aspects of their daily living during our two visits to the home. We observed care workers engaging positively with people who use the service.
