During a routine inspection
We saw evidence people or their family members were involved in developing their care plans. One relative told us 'they always ask for my input'. We found that care records were individualised to each person's needs and choices but the associated risk assessments were not always updated to reflect changes in a persons care and treatment needs.
We observed staff treating people with dignity and respect. However we found not all staff at the home had completed the provider's mandatory training and there was no documentary evidence of any assessment to identify staff learning and development needs.
We found that the provider had a quality monitoring process in place but the policy had not been updated since 2009 and the provider had not applied the policy. This meant that the systems to assess and monitor the quality of service that people receive were not effective.
