Weymouth Manor is a care home registered to provide accommodation for persons who require nursing or personal care. We undertook an assessment of Weymouth Manor between 8 August 2024 to 29 August 2024 in response to concerns we had received about events that may impact on the safe running of the service including safe staffing. At the time of our inspection 34 people were living at Weymouth Manor. The assessment included onsite inspections of the home on 8, 12 and 17 August 2024 and these were unannounced. The inspection team consisted of 2 inspectors. We found 1 continued breach of regulation in relation to Good Governance. In instances where CQC have decided to take civil or criminal enforcement action against a provider, we will publish this information on our website after any representations and/or appeals have been concluded. The provider had either not established governance systems, or systems and processes were not robust to identify the shortfalls we found during our inspection. The management team had worked to stabilise the home since our last inspection in June. Staff told us they felt supported by the management team and were positive about the changes that had been implemented however, felt they were not valued by the provider, and this had impacted on their wellbeing. We observed enough staff to meet the needs of the people living at Weymouth Manor however, staff had not always been able to meet the needs of people in a timely way. People were observed to appear comfortable and relaxed around the staff who supported them. We observed kind, friendly and respectful interactions between staff and people. People told us staff were kind and caring.
