Moundsley House is a nursing home providing accommodation and personal care for up to 60 people, including some of whom are living with dementia or a physical disability. At the time of our assessment there were 57 people living at Moundsley House. At our last inspection the service was rated Good (published on the 25 April 2022). We assessed some but not all quality statements at this visit which means we use the ratings from the previous inspection to rate the key questions of effective, caring and responsive. We will carry out future assessments to cover other parts of the Framework and will update our website with our findings. We carried out an unannounced on-site assessment on 4 June 2024 in response to concerns raised with us around the management and safety of the service. The provider was informed we would be returning on 11 June 2024 . We found concerns were required in relation to how risks to people and the environment were managed, which resulted in a breach of Regulation 17 Good governance of the Health and Social Care Act 2008 (Regulated Activities) Regulations 2014. We have asked the provider to provide an action plan on how they intend to plan to assess, mitigate and monitor risks to people.
