Our view of the service
Stourport Medical Centre provides care and treatment to 22000 patients living in Stourport on Severn in Worcestershire. They are part of the Wyre Forest Health Partnership. The Wyre Forest Health Partnership consists of 5 sites including Stourport Medical Centre. They moved into a purpose-built building in June 2022 bringing two locations Stourport Health Centre and York House Medical Centre together into one large practice. Stourport Medical Centre is registered with the Care Quality Commission under the Health and Social Care Act 2008 to provide the following regulated activities, diagnostic and screening procedures, midwifery and maternity services, surgical procedures and treatment of disease, disorder, or injury. We carried out an announced assessment of safe, effective, caring, responsive, and well-led. Due to a change in their registration with CQC the practice was unrated.
People's experience of this service
To hear from patients about their experiences we asked the service to share details of our Give Feedback on Care process. We also provided feedback forms for patients to complete and leave in a sealed envelope for CQC to collect. Patients were very positive about the practice. They told us they felt cared for, listened to, and fully informed of the treatment options. They all said how helpful reception staff had been and felt they received care and treatment which met their needs.
