During a routine inspection
We found that people were generally satisfied with the domiciliary care service, although a number of people were unhappy that the calls were regularly late. One person said: "The carers are very considerate when they come into our home."
In the supported living homes, not all the people were able to communicate with us. Those who were said they were well looked after. We saw that they had a range of activities designed to suit the individuals.
We found that the service treated everyone with respect and allowed as much independence as possible. We found that care plans were detailed and gave a good picture of each person's needs.
We found that staff were well-trained in safeguarding and knew how to report any suspicions of abuse. We found that incidents reported over the last year had been dealt with effectively.
We found that staff were well supported and well motivated. We found that the management structure allowed close monitoring of both services and that there was a process of continuing improvement.
