Our view of the service
We carried out this targeted assessment due to concerns we had received about staff culture. We assessed 3 quality statements under the safe key question. At the time of our inspection there was a registered manager in post who was supported by a deputy manager. We spoke with 5 people and 2 relatives who were all happy with the care and support they received. We observed there were sufficient staff available to respond to people in a timely way.
People's experience of this service
We spoke with a group of people living at the home and they were all very happy with the care they received. People we spoke with said staff were kind and caring and had no problems with staff at the home. Some people were living with dementia and commented that they wanted to go back home. However, they were as ease around staff and staff were caring and reassuring. Relatives were also complimentary about the care their family member received. One relative said, "We [our family] are lucky to have [relative] here it really is lovely." Another relative said, "If I had any concerns, I could talk to someone. All the staff are nice and the manager is approachable."
