During a routine inspection
Relatives we spoke with told us the quality of care at the home was good. One visitor commented, 'The place is always calm and comfortable and they help my relative live as normal a life as she can'. Another visitor stated, 'It's a great place to live and my friend is very happy there'.
Relatives and friends of people using the service told us that staff worked hard to help them maintain close relationships. One person was impressed that staff drove her friend a considerable distance three to four times a year so she could meet up with her. Another was pleased that staff helped the person she was guardian for maintain links with her father.
We talked with a visiting learning disability nurse and GP both of whom rated the service highly. The GP told us, 'The staff are knowledgeable and helpful and they always make a big effort to actually bring people to the surgery. I've never had any concerns about the service'.
