During a routine inspection
We found that each person's needs were assessed and care plans recorded of how staff supported people. These included personal care as well as social activities. People told us they were supported well and had support with personal care and attending community activities. One of the people we spoke to said, 'I love it here.'
Relatives told us the home provided a good service. One relative said, 'It's the most wonderful place my son/daughter could live.'
We saw the home sought the consent and agreement of people to the support arrangements. There were procedures in place for assessing people's capacity to consent and for making decisions on behalf of people if they did not have capacity to consent to care and treatment.
The home was clean and generally well maintained. Regular checks were made to ensure people lived in a safe environment.
The home was adequately staffed with three staff on duty. At night time there was one 'waking' staff member and one staff on 'sleep in' duty.
