We found that people were asked for their consent and the provider acted in accordance with their wishes. People's care and support needs were assessed and regularly reviewed. Staff understood people's care needs and knew how to protect them from risk and harm. We saw there were qualified, skilled and experienced staff to meet people's needs. There was evidence that quality monitoring audits had taken place on a regular basis, and that learning from the audits had taken place and necessary changes were implemented. People's records were fit for purpose, kept securely and could be located promptly when needed.

We found that people were cared for with dignity and respect and that their care had been planned for appropriately based on their individually assessed needs.

However, we also found that the provider did not have an adequate procedure relating to the safeguarding of vulnerable adults in place and that staff had not been supported through regular supervision sessions. Staff training records and the results of the provider's annual residents survey were not available for review when requested and records relating to people's care were not always stored securely. We also found that action had not been taken to address concerns noted during an inspection by the London Fire and Emergency Planning Authority.
