Accommodation for persons who require nursing or personal care

Condition of this registration relating to carrying out this regulated activity
With immediate effect the registered provider must ensure there are sufficient numbers of suitably qualified, competent, and experienced staff to safely meet the needs of people living at the service. This must include competency in:
• Mental Health Awareness
• First aid
• Basic life support
• Restrictive practices/Restraint
• MCA and DoLS
• Substance Misuse
• Self-Harm
The registered person must by 5 February 2024 instruct a suitably qualified, skilled, and competent person to oversee the delivery of the service at Haydock House and ensure that people are safe. The
registered person must provide the Care Quality Commission with a copy of their resume by 4pm on Monday 5 Feb 2024.
By 4pm on the 31 January 2024 the registered person must provide written confirmation to the Care Quality Commission that:
• The systems it has in place to ensure that (a) hot water temperature, checks carried out at Haydock House, are accurate, thorough, and reliable, and (b) where the temperatures in sinks, baths and showers to which service users have access to exceed 44 degrees, appropriate action has been taken to reduce the temperature.
By 1pm on Friday 2 February 2024 and each Friday thereafter, the registered person must submit to the Care Quality Commission a copy of training records for the registered manager, deputy manager senior
support workers and any agency staff employed to deliver the regulated activity. The record should include training topics, date of training, nature of training, name of training provider, and post-training competence checks. Priority must be given to the following training topics. This training needs to be completed by 16 February 2024.

• Substance Misuse
• Self-Harm
By 4pm on the 31 January 2024, the registered provider must ensure that they have liaised and obtained all relevant information relating to service user 1 from the Local Authority and the Personality Disorder Hub so that the appropriate support can be provided to keep them safe. In particular the risks associated with self-harm.
Upon the imposition of this condition on the registered person’s registration, the registered person must not admit any new service user to Haydock House, 380 - 382 Church Road, Haydock. WA11 0LG without
the prior written agreement of the Care Quality Commission.
Terms of this registration relating to carrying out this regulated activity
The registered provider must only accommodate a maximum of 16 service users at Haydock House.
The registered provider must not provide nursing care under accommodation for persons who require nursing or personal care at Haydock House.
