During a routine inspection
People we spoke with said 'they do anything I want' and there was 'plenty of help when I need it'. People also said 'everyone is so nice and friendly', 'I'm very grateful to them, they help me and it's lovely of them' and 'I'm very happy here'. Staff we spoke with said 'I so enjoy working here; we have time to spend with people'.
We saw evidence that peoples' needs were assessed on an on-going basis; the manager saw people on a daily basis and a carer we spoke with said they reported back to the manager at the end of their shift. We saw the quality assurance form in the support plans which showed that the manager also completed spot checks. The support plans were updated when people's needs changed.
There was evidence that the views of people who used the service were obtained bi-annually via questionnaires. People we spoke with said that they were 'always asking me for my opinion', and they were asked 'is it ok for you'? The last questionnaires were sent out in June, there was a 30% return rate; the results showed a high level of satisfaction with the service.
